Employment Opportunities!

We are currently looking to bring on a few more key staff positions to Youth Challenge. As a staff member, you will be on the front lines of bringing the truth of God’s Word to the lives of America’s youth! If you hear the call of the Holy Spirit in your life to join in full time youth ministry, check out the opportunities we have for you!

Camp Machasay Manager

Job Title: Camp Manager

Job Overview: To manage and maintain camp grounds and facilities

Applicant Requirements:

  • Have a personal, growing relationship with Jesus
  • Knowledge of general construction and building maintenance
  • Ability to do grounds work including mowing, weeding, trimming, watering, snow removal, etc.
  • Teachable and willing to work hard

Camp Manager responsibilities while camps are running:

  • Cleaning all buildings
  • Make sure everything is working correctly
  • Communicating with camp director for specific camp needs

Camp Manager responsibilities throughout the year:

  • Watering, mowing, weed control
  • All general repairs including electrical and plumbing
  • Trimming and watering trees
  • Pool maintenance
  • Basic equipment operation (includes mowers, small tractors, small engine repair, etc.)
  • Snow and ice removal

Job Reimbursement: As an individual on staff with Youth Challenge, you will be required to raise monthly support. We will provide you with materials and direction on how to accomplish this. We consider raising support an excellent opportunity for others to join you in this ministry and one way to put your faith and trust in Jesus to provide for you. Camp Machasay Office/Hospitality Manager

Job Title: Office/Hospitality Manager

Job Overview: To manage and maintain overall camp office responsibilities which can include – camp registrations, rental contracts, maintaining relationships with clients and customers, as well as keeping track of and ordering supplies.

Applicant Requirements:

  • Have a personal, growing relationship with Jesus
  • Excellent people skills – Ability to speak to people in a professional yet gracious manner
  • Good organizational skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Office – Specifically Word, Excel, and possibly Publisher
  • Responsible with money
  • Computer Literate
  • Assertive – Ability to manage camp volunteers; Ability to see what people need or what needs to be done and follow through with minimal direction

Job Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a clean and organized office
  • Set up and maintain online registrations each season
  • Promotion of camp and conference center
  • Keep track of camp calendar
  • In charge of keeping rental contracts and invoicing for rentals accurately
  • Work with rental groups and work groups to make sure they have everything they need
  • Maintaining communications with camper’s families throughout the registration and camping seasons through email, texting, and phone calls when needed
  • Taking inventory of supplies and ordering when needed and approved
  • Help in the recruiting process of volunteers – including organization and implementation of volunteer applications and background checks
  • Overseeing volunteers who are helping in the office or trading post during camps

Youth Challenge Outreach Director

Job Title: Outreach Director

Job Overview: To plan, promote, coordinate and execute the following Youth Challenge activities

  • Monthly Evangelistic Outreaches:
  • Lock ins, concerts, special events and any other legitimate activity that will focus on building the Kingdom alongside the local churches in the area.
  • Building relationships with pastors in the area to assess and coordinate activities that would help them build the local church
  • Partnering with outdoor ministries like OM, Trail Life, SROM, etc…
  • Operation Mobilization—a gap year opportunity
  • Trail Life USA—pursue the option of opening a local chapter to provide and alternative to Boy Scouts
  • Solid Rock Outdoor Ministries—partner with and plan outdoor adventures such as rock climbing, backpacking and Leave No Trace program
  • Planning and Promoting missions’ opportunities (domestic and international)
  • Jamaica—continue to build relationships with schools and provide opportunities through our ongoing ministry for local youth to experience cross cultural ministry
  • Domestic—develop service opportunity trips in state and country; Evangelism/disciple making trips to the unreached in America
  • International—seek God’s leading in ways to travel to other countries to assist local missionaries in their work for the purpose of exposing local youth to missions and cross-cultural ministry.
